Veros Real Estate Solutions (Veros) is pleased to announce the availability of its Disaster Vision API through VeroSELECT, Veros’s web-based platform. This integration enables customers to efficiently access critical property-level insights following natural disasters, allowing single property searches via API. Users can instantly receive data indicating if a property is “Inside Event,” “Inside Buffer,” or “Outside of Event and Buffer.”
Disaster Vision is a powerful tool for evaluating properties against disaster zones, such as those affected by fires, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes. It leverages a nationwide geo-coded property database and diverse data sources to deliver precise insights beyond broad county-level declarations.
The Disaster Vision API offers added convenience for automating workflows related to disaster impact. It includes a transactional option for seamless machine-to-machine integration, enhanced workflow automation, and the ability to bundle with Valligent’s ValINSPECT Disaster inspections.
“At Veros, we are committed to providing innovative tools to navigate the complexities of the housing finance market, especially in times of crisis,” said Sarah Petteway-Dib, Senior Vice President, Product and Data Operations. “Integrating the Disaster Vision API into VeroSELECT enables our customers to make faster, more informed decisions and improve their disaster response efforts from within their own platforms.”
The integration allows customers to automate initial assessments of a property’s proximity to a disaster which adds efficiency by enabling prioritization of disaster inspection orders. Disaster Vision is valuable for stakeholders including originators, servicers, asset managers, and insurance companies, helping prioritize inspections, accelerate clear-to-close times, and improve borrower relations.
