"Forecasting is going to be a hot topic," added Darius Bozorgi, president and chief executive officer at Veros. "Anyone following the news is reading a host of views about what will be going on with pricing. There are those that feel the bubble is about to pop, those that feel we're in for a fifth record year, and those that are in the middle. Attendees of the PMC will hear from lenders to see how they're using forecasting in their operation and there will also be a forecasting workshop.
"Another hot topic will be regulatory compliance issues," said Mr. Bozorgi. "There has been a lot of guidance and there will be increased scrutiny. The audience will be educated about what they can do to meet the guidelines. "Also, the issue of how collateral risk has evolved and where we are now will be discussed," he said. "We'll discuss analytics, models and implementations. Cascading is a choice that many lenders are doing that cascades through multiple AVMs, BPOs, etc."
