Eight AVM vendors, medium-rare, please
Perhaps the most entertaining event at the PMC show was the "Grill the AVM vendors" BBQ lunch, where attendees were free to ask any questions to a group of about eight AVM vendor reps. The discussion started on a humorous note when one attendee asked each panel member to explain why his AVM was better than the others.
The first brave soul to speak up explained that all the products will perform differently in different situations. In addition, because AVM testing has become so intense, the products have been highly competitive.
A rep from Veros said his company is different because it doesn't offer other services such as credit and title. "Our core competency is modeling," he said.
